Years ago, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the artist and film producer, experienced a helicopter crash in a rural area of Mali. During repairs, he spent a day deeply conversing with a local farmer about hopes, doubts, and values—exploring the fundamental questions shaping the farmer's life. "For the first time, I truly understood another person's life and struggles," Yann recalls.
This profound encounter inspired the creation of HUMAN. A dedicated team of 16 journalists conducted interviews with more than 2,000 individuals across 60 countries. Each interview covers 40 questions spanning topics such as religion and family (for example, "When was the last time you said 'I love you' to your parents?") to ambitions and challenges ("What has been the toughest trial in your life, and what did you learn from it?").
