Celebrating Champions of Russia's Premier National Sports Project Competition

Discover how innovative sports initiatives across Russia are transforming communities and inspiring active lifestyles through a prestigious national contest.

On May 20th, the grand ceremony honoring the winners of the second season of Russia's nationwide sports project competition, "You're in the Game," took place in Moscow. Each winner across five categories was awarded $4,000, with the grand prize reaching $13,000.

This event also marked the conclusion of the "Believe in Russia – Together We Are Strong" campaign. The competition is organized by the National Priorities Autonomous Nonprofit Organization with support from the Russian Ministry of Sport, under the federal initiative "Sport is a Way of Life," part of the national "Demography" project.

The competition attracted over 4,000 entries from 85 regions, showcasing a vibrant diversity of sports innovation. Distinguished guests included Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and First Deputy Minister of Sport Azat Kadyrov, alongside renowned athletes, industry leaders, startup founders, and partner representatives. The ceremony was hosted by Olympic cross-country skiing champion and ambassador of the federal project Alexander Legkov.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, remarked:

"The 'You're in the Game' competition has once again united sports enthusiasts from every corner of Russia. With nearly double the number of applications compared to the previous season, it’s evident the passion for sports is growing. Participants received expert guidance and motivation to excel in their fields. Our mission, set by the President, is to have at least 70% of citizens regularly engaging in sports by 2030. This project plays a vital role in achieving that goal. Each winner serves as a role model for both adults and children. I encourage all participants to continue expanding their initiatives nationwide."

Thanks to the "Sport is a Way of Life" project, over 360 sports facilities have been built nationwide, with plans for an additional 110 this year. The new "Business Sprint" initiative will introduce approximately 200 smart sports grounds across regions.
