A 25-year-old dancer, suffering from severe health complications due to an abusive relationship, had lost significant weight and experienced a sudden medical emergency just before going on stage.
On the night of November 25, a Turkish dancer performing at a nightclub in the Federation Tower, part of Moscow's business district, unexpectedly passed away. The 25-year-old was part of a ballet show at the venue.
While preparing backstage, she suddenly became ill: after vomiting and experiencing blurred vision, she called for help. Colleagues immediately contacted emergency medical services and informed her mother about the situation. It was reported that she was administered a hormone injection intended to increase heart rate and strength. Unfortunately, medical personnel declared her deceased upon arrival.
According to reports, the dancer had been struggling with her health for the past three years, frequently confiding in her mother and doctors. She faced significant weight issues due to an abusive partner, leading her weight to drop dangerously low to 35 kilograms (approximately 77 pounds). This drastic weight loss caused hormonal imbalances and deteriorated her reproductive health.
After ending the abusive relationship, she sought medical help and was prescribed contraceptive pills. Despite improvements, she continued to suffer from fainting spells, extreme weakness, fever, high blood pressure, headaches, rapid heartbeat, and neck swelling.
Gradually, her weight and overall health improved, but she remained physically exhausted, often experiencing elevated blood pressure after performances.
She joined the nightclub in the Federation Tower in September 2024. On the evening of November 24, before her final performance, she informed colleagues about feeling unwell. Although advised to rest at home, she chose to proceed with the show. Shortly before the act began, her condition worsened backstage.
Investigators and forensic experts are currently examining the circumstances surrounding her death and the scene of the incident. A thorough forensic medical examination will determine the exact cause. Questions remain regarding the heart medication administered during her emergency.
