What are your main responsibilities?

I oversee the operations of Sports.ru and Tribuna.com. Our mission is to enrich the sports community by delivering timely information and creating enjoyable experiences for our audience.

What hardware do you rely on?

I use a 13-inch MacBook Pro, which has been my trusted companion for the past two years, both at the office and at home. While I occasionally consider upgrading to the latest MacBook Air for portability, my current setup meets all my needs. Previously, I owned the first-generation Air but switched to the Pro due to performance limitations. My work often requires running Excel, Keynote, and multiple browser tabs simultaneously. Although the new Air models reportedly handle this well, I haven't felt the need to switch yet.

Additionally, I always carry an iPad and an iPhone (currently a 4s, planning to upgrade to a 5s). The iPad is my go-to device for reading during commutes, flights, or any brief downtime. On business trips, it becomes my primary work tool; I purchase a local 3G SIM card to stay connected without hunting for Wi-Fi. I reserve the laptop for intensive tasks like extensive typing or complex Excel work.

To stay informed about Android developments, I occasionally use the editorial Samsung Galaxy S III. Since we develop apps for both major platforms, understanding Android firsthand is essential.

Which software tools do you use?

My primary browser is Chrome, with Firefox as a backup. Both my corporate and personal emails are managed through Gmail, accessed via dedicated apps on my devices. For presentations, I rely on Mac's Keynote, and Excel is my choice for handling numerical data. Google Docs and Google Calendar are integral for collaboration and scheduling across the team. It might sound conventional, but these tools are reliable and efficient.

Among messaging apps, I keep Google Talk active exclusively for communication with Sports.ru colleagues. For task management, I prefer Clear for its simplicity and elegance.

The app I use most outside of work tools is Readability. I read numerous articles and posts but avoid doing so during work hours. When I find something interesting, I save it via a browser plugin to Readability, so I can enjoy it later on my iPad or iPhone. This creates a personalized, curated journal filled with valuable content relevant to my field.

For ebooks, I use iBooks and purchase physical books only if a digital version isn't available. Since I regularly highlight important passages for later review, iBooks offers a more convenient experience than paper books.

Do you still use paper in your work?

I use paper mainly during meetings for note-taking and sign numerous documents daily. However, I try to minimize paper use otherwise, even when it comes to finances. Digital cards are more convenient, and tracking expenses is simpler.

Do you have a dream setup?

Having witnessed the pre-computer era, I'm amazed by the technological advancements over the past 10–15 years. Whenever I think of a new tool or feature, I often discover it already exists. So, honestly, I don't have any specific wishes—technology keeps surprising me.
