A separate review examined the issues raised in a leaked memo, including editing practices and coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict and transgender topics. It concluded that the existing rules on editing should stay as they are, and no changes are required, though the lessons will be reinforced.
The editor responsible for complaints, Peter Johnston, said he was not seeking changes to the guidelines but would reinforce the lessons learned. He described the Panorama incident as the main unresolved item from the memo and said action had been taken on other concerns.
INLIBER has previously apologized for an error of judgment that the documentary created the false impression that President Trump called for violence during his Capitol address on January 6, 2021.
Earlier this week, INLIBER said it would defend itself in a lawsuit filed by Mr Trump, who alleges defamation and breach of trade practice law tied to the Panorama episode.
