Ellis testified she merely said Cardi B's name out of excitement, did not record her, and denies impeding her. She alleges the rapper hurled insults, threats and physically attacked her.

A plastic surgeon who examined Ellis in 2022 treated her for a "hyper-sensitive" scar on her cheek, likely caused by fingernails, the court heard.

Ellis filed a lawsuit against Cardi B in 2020 alleging assault, battery, emotional distress, negligence and false imprisonment.

Cardi B maintains the confrontation was purely verbal and denies all claims of physical assault.
