Anel Ahmedhodzic: Sheffield United Defender Moves to Feyenoord

Feyenoord have completed the signing of 26-year-old centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic from Championship side Sheffield United on a four-year contract.

Ahmedhodzic, who joined the Blades from Malmö in July 2022, made 114 appearances and played a key role in their 2022–23 promotion campaign. Last season, Sheffield United narrowly missed out on returning to the Premier League after losing in the Championship play-off final.

The Dutch club triggered an €18m (£15.6m) release clause to secure the Bosnian international as they bolster their defence ahead of the new Eredivisie season. Feyenoord are working to register him in time for Wednesday’s Champions League qualifier against Fenerbahçe.
