In a post late Wednesday, Trump teased a press briefing scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Oval Office, describing it as a discussion about a "MAJOR TRADE DEAL WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF A PROMINENT AND HIGHLY ESTEEMED COUNTRY." Early Thursday, he added, "Today marks an exciting milestone for both the United States and the United Kingdom."

The administration plans to provide further insights into the trade agreement during the press conference and may also update the public on ongoing trade negotiations with other nations, which Trump noted are "progressing at critical stages."

Recent uncertainty surrounding tariffs introduced last month has caused notable market fluctuations and led several companies to revise their annual forecasts.
