He was commissioned as an officer in 2017 and promptly led a platoon in the Irish Army. Multilingual, he speaks Luxembourgish, French, English, German fluently, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Interestingly, before his military career, Prince Sebastian aspired to enter the fashion world. He lived in the United States during his youth and interned at LVMH Watch & Jewellery in Hong Kong during summer breaks.

He earned a degree in Marketing and Communications from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and also gained experience in forest management in Germany — a true testament to his diverse pursuits.

His adventures also took him to New Zealand, where he engaged in rock climbing, skiing, swimming, and rugby.

Now in his thirties, Prince Sebastian has shifted focus from personal exploration to embracing his royal responsibilities. He frequently appears alongside family members at official events but admits that his greatest passion remains traveling and immersing himself in diverse cultures.
