2. Onion Bulb Segments
You don’t need to plant the entire bulb. When preparing meals, save the bottom part of the bulb, about 1 cm tall.
Let these pieces dry for 4–5 hours before planting.
3. Young Onion Bulbs
Don’t discard the lower part with roots when using green onions. Separate the white section with roots, about 4–5 cm long; this is enough to plant.

Growing Green Onions in Water
Use a container wide enough so the bulb doesn't fall in, with only the base submerged.

Use filtered or boiled water only. Change the water every 5–6 days and top it up as it evaporates by gently lifting the bulb.

Simply place the bulbs into the designated holes, set the tray with water underneath, and plug in the compressor to oxygenate the water.
Growing Green Onions in Soil
Use universal potting soil mixed with about 20% vermiculite for better aeration.

Plant the prepared young onion parts with roots into small pots filled with universal soil mixed with vermiculite, if available.
Bury only the roots, leaving about 85% of the bulb above the surface. Water when the soil feels dry.
