1. How often do your employees hang out together after work?

Wanting to grab a drink with colleagues after hours is a natural desire. After all, you often spend more time with coworkers than with friends or family. However, an employer might misinterpret this question and think you prioritize socializing over work.

Instead, consider rephrasing your question. For example, say: "I'd love to learn more about the company's culture." This approach often leads to stories about fun team traditions and weekly gatherings. Moreover, it shows the interviewer that you are not just a potential employee but someone interested in being part of the team, which is far more appealing.

2. Did I get the job?

In most cases, companies need time to decide whether to hire you. You should understand this, so asking directly can come across as impatient or unprofessional.
