Briton Tom Pidcock and Felix Gall launched late attacks on the misty summit, only to be overtaken by Ciccone and Vingegaard in the closing 100m. Despite a crash on a slippery roundabout near the climb’s base, Vingegaard shrugged off bruises to secure the win.
