WHO Warns of Emerging Third Wave of COVID-19 Pandemic

The organization calls for mass vaccination campaigns aiming to cover at least 10% of each country's population by September, 40% by the end of this year, and 70% by mid-next year. Achieving these targets requires approximately 11 billion vaccine doses worldwide.
In Russia, the third wave began as early as June. Currently, around 25,000 new COVID-19 cases are reported daily, placing Russia fourth globally in terms of infection rates.
