Rozman is linked to alleged communications with convicted doping doctor Mark Schmidt, who received a prison sentence in 2021 for administering illegal blood transfusions under Operation Aderlass. A German TV documentary also connected Ineos team members to Schmidt, though it did not identify Rozman by name.
The ITA conducts its inquiries confidentially and will share outcomes only if anti-doping violations are pursued. Rozman and Ineos have stated they will fully cooperate with any investigation.
Sir Dave Brailsford, Ineos director of sport, scaled back his role at United in June but continues to lead Ineos Grenadiers. Brailsford and the team have consistently denied any wrongdoing amid past controversies, including the "jiffy bag" incident involving Bradley Wiggins in 2011 and therapeutic use exemptions for triamcinolone.
