Consumers aged 35 to 44 are expected to spend the most, outspending other age groups by nearly $100 on average. Meanwhile, those aged 45 to 54 are increasing their spending by the largest margin, with an average rise of over $57 compared to last year.
Online shopping continues to grow in popularity, with 43% of shoppers opting for digital purchases, up from 40% in 2023. Department stores remain a favored shopping destination for 38% of consumers.
Subscription boxes are gaining traction, with 42% of gift-givers interested in this option, up from 37% last year. Additionally, nearly 30% plan to buy experiential gifts like concert or sports tickets, an increase from 25% in 2022.
