Princess Diana's sons have decided to reveal her iconic wedding dress to the public for the first time in a quarter-century. This historic gown will be displayed in a renowned London museum.

However, not every detail was flawless. Many critics have pointed out the choice of silk taffeta as problematic—this fabric is delicate, stiff, and prone to creasing like paper. Despite efforts from bridesmaids to smooth out wrinkles, archival photos reveal the dress’s fabric often appeared crumpled during the ceremony.

Thanks to the voluminous fabric, Diana resembled a porcelain doll on her special day, with guests likening her to a fairy tale character. Additionally, frequent fittings were necessary as Diana rapidly lost weight leading up to the wedding, requiring seamstresses to make last-minute adjustments even on the day of the event.

In a heartfelt decision, Diana’s sons have authorized the display of this legendary wedding dress at Kensington Palace, the very location where the royal wedding took place. The exhibition, titled "Royal Style In The Making," will open on June 3rd of this year.

Notably, Diana herself had wished for her dress to be part of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collection. According to her will, the dress is currently owned by Prince Harry.
