Asahi clarified that the attack did not breach its production systems directly but halted operations because it could not manage shipments. The company is collaborating with external cybersecurity experts to restore its systems and has not yet provided a clear timeline for full recovery.
Despite no direct damage to production lines, Asahi's inability to process orders forced it to halt operations at its Japanese plants, underlining the growing threat of cyber-attacks on supply chains.
