Undercover Investigation Reveals Spice-Laced Vapes Sold via Snapchat to Teenagers

An INLIBER undercover operation uncovered dealers selling highly addictive, spice-laced vape liquids to minors via Snapchat in Warwickshire.

A white car with three men in it drives past on a housing estate. The front passenger's side profile can be clearly seen through the window - he has medium-length curly dark hair. Another man in the back has a dark beard and hair. The sky is blue and the roofs of houses can be seen behind the car.

Undercover in Warwickshire

On a sunny spring afternoon in Warwickshire, an INLIBER reporter posed as a schoolgirl to arrange a Snapchat deal for vape liquid claimed to contain THC. We suspected it was actually spice, a synthetic drug linked to severe health risks.

Secret Snapchat Transactions

Using information from two concerned mothers, our reporter contacted a seller offering 'special mixed flavour' for £10 or 'pure concentrated THC' for £20. The dealer delivered across Birmingham and Warwickshire and agreed to meet near a playground.

The dealer arrived in a white SUV. Our teenage decoy, dressed casually, exchanged cash for four 10ml bottles of vape liquid in under 30 seconds.

Tests Confirm Spice

Independent tests confirmed the liquid contained spice

Laboratory analysis verified the samples were laced with spice. The mothers reported their 13-year-old daughters collapsed from use and experienced terrifying withdrawals.

When shown the footage, one mother said she felt sick and both condemned the dealers still active on local streets.

One of the teenage girls recognized the dealer from previous encounters

The girls confirmed they no longer vape illegal substances. Warwickshire Police said they are gathering evidence, and Snapchat removed thousands of drug-related posts last year.

Dealers are exploiting Snapchat to market highly addictive spice-laced vapes to underage users, posing serious health risks.
