Her boyfriend contracted HIV through another partner and unknowingly transmitted it to Chelsea. Now, a decade later, Chelsea is married to an HIV-positive partner and together they have two HIV-negative children.

Driven by her early diagnosis and feelings of isolation, Chelsea leads an HIV and AIDS outreach program for adolescents, guiding young people through medical and personal decisions she once faced.

Currently, Chelsea is exploring her medication options, having previously taken HIV medication only during her pregnancies.

Nicholas Snow

Nicholas Snow, 52, a journalist, maintained consistent HIV testing and safe practices throughout his life. However, a momentary lapse led to his HIV diagnosis after experiencing severe flu-like symptoms.

Diagnosed while living in Thailand, Nicholas now resides in Palm Springs, California, where he receives care at the Desert AIDS Project clinic specialized in HIV treatment.

He emphasizes the importance of regular testing, noting many people with HIV are unaware of their status. "You either get tested or you get sick," he states.

Nicholas takes a single daily pill to manage his condition effectively. Within two months of starting treatment, his viral load became undetectable. He maintains a healthy lifestyle, with only minor cholesterol issues related to his medication.

Open about his diagnosis, Nicholas has created a music video and hosts an online radio show to raise awareness and encourage regular HIV testing.

Josh Robbins

Josh Robbins, a 37-year-old talent agent from Nashville, Tennessee, shares, "I’m still Josh. Living with HIV doesn’t change who I am." He disclosed his diagnosis to his family within 24 hours to foster openness and reduce stigma.

After his diagnosis, Josh contacted the individual from whom he contracted HIV, choosing transparency before health authorities intervened.

Committed to breaking silence, Josh started a blog, ImStillJosh.com, to share his story, connect with others living with HIV, and combat loneliness.

Before his diagnosis, Josh had never met another HIV-positive person, which made his journey isolating and frightening. Since launching his blog, thousands have reached out, including nearly 200 from his local area.

Josh feels honored to support others through shared stories, proving that openness can foster community and hope.
