However, recent information from The Illuminerdi, citing insider sources, reveals a shift in casting plans. The search for Eile continues; she is described as a member of the Elf Clan who prefers combat with knives. Ideal candidates should have experience in dance or stunt work, hinting at intense action sequences involving this character.
Interestingly, the role of Mervyn is no longer being cast. Instead, Netflix is seeking a male actor for the role of Fjall, a man roughly the same age as Eile but from a different clan. Fjall is characterized as physically strong and rugged, yet possessing keen intuition. This suggests a storyline centered around rivalry between the main characters.
It’s important to note that this change does not necessarily exclude Princess Mervyn from being a central figure; it’s possible that her role has already been cast and the search is closed.
