Yandex.Music App Now Controls Playback on All 'Station' Speakers
Yandex has enhanced its signature music service with new features to control all 'Station' series speakers, including Mini, Lite, Max, and the base model, directly from the app.
You no longer need to rely solely on voice commands.
Yandex has introduced new control capabilities to its proprietary music service, enabling users to manage playback on the entire range of 'Station' speakers—including Mini, Lite, Max, and the standard model—directly through the app without using voice assistants.
The speaker remains the primary device in this setup, allowing you to use your smartphone as usual: notifications and incoming calls won’t interrupt your music playback, unlike when connecting a Bluetooth speaker directly to your phone.
Within Yandex.Music, you can now skip tracks and podcast episodes, like or dislike songs, adjust volume, and switch between speakers. Yandex plans to expand these features further in future updates.
The smartphone control is already functional on all 'Station' models and complements voice commands: you can start playing a track through the app and then ask Alice to increase the volume.
