Max Bardon, Vice President of Amazon Worldwide Payments, highlighted that their goal was to provide customers with "payment options that are convenient, easy to use, and secure," which initially motivated Venmo's inclusion.

On the market front, PayPal's stock closed down 1.8% at $58.48, marking a 22% drop year-to-date. Meanwhile, Amazon's shares rose 1.6% to $146.88, achieving a 71% gain in 2023.
