Another witness, Danielle, who was closer to Kirk, described the scene as \"horrific,\" with attendees screaming and running. \"All I could do was pray,\" she said.

Several people, including reporter Emma Pitts, noted a lack of security checks. \"No one scanned our bags or equipment,\" Pitts said. Utah Valley University had provided six security officers alongside Kirk's private team.
