Facebook Enables Group Chats Across Instagram and Messenger Users

Connecting with friends has never been easier, even if they use different social platforms.

Facebook has officially introduced a new feature that allows cross-platform group messaging between Instagram and Facebook Messenger users. This means you can start a group chat on Instagram with friends who only have Facebook accounts, and vice versa.

To use this feature, the user initiating the chat must have cross-platform messaging enabled on both apps. Both Messenger and Instagram will prompt you to activate this feature when you log in after updating, or you can enable synchronization manually.

Within the settings of both applications, there is an "Account Center" section that allows you to link profiles across different social networks. Once linked, when creating a chat in one app, you'll have the option to invite friends or followers from the other platform.

Users retain control over who can invite them to chats; these privacy settings extend to cross-platform invitations as well.

The rollout of this update is gradual and may not be available to all users immediately. Ensure that you have the latest versions of both Instagram and Messenger installed to access this feature.
