While OPPO has yet to officially launch its foldable smartphone, the company is clearly pushing the boundaries in this exciting segment. Instead of unveiling a final product ready for mass production, OPPO has introduced a groundbreaking concept device that folds in two places, offering unprecedented portability.
This unnamed device, developed in partnership with the renowned Japanese design studio Nendo, folds down to a size comparable to a thick credit card. Its 1.5-inch external display is perfect for showing the time and notifications at a glance.
The intermediate fold reveals a 3.15-inch screen, ideal for quick photo snaps or casual gaming during your commute. Fully unfolded, the device offers a spacious 7-inch display with ultra-thin bezels. Although the tall form factor might not suit everyday use in portrait mode, it promises excellent multitasking capabilities in landscape orientation.
Adding to its versatility, the smartphone includes a stylus that neatly tucks into the body. The exterior features a triple-camera setup with an LED flash. Since this is a concept focused on design innovation, detailed specifications remain undisclosed, and a commercial release is not expected soon.
