Meizu has officially unveiled its latest flagship lineup, introducing the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro models. The Meizu 18 draws design inspiration reminiscent of the Oppo Reno5, while the 18 Pro echoes the style of the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Both models feature subtly curved displays with 50-degree bends on the sides and 5-degree curves at the top and bottom. The Meizu 18 sports a 6.2-inch screen, while the Pro variant boasts a 6.7-inch display. Both utilize 2K AMOLED E4 panels supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ technology, and pressure-sensitive touch capabilities. Beneath the screen lies Qualcomm's 3D Sonic ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for secure and fast unlocking.
Powering the Meizu 18 and 18 Pro is the robust Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for swift performance. Their batteries are rated at 4000mAh and 4500mAh, respectively. The standard model supports 36W wired charging, while the Pro offers both 40W wired and wireless charging, along with 10W reverse wireless charging. However, in line with modern trends, charging adapters are not included in the packaging.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Meizu 18’s triple camera setup featuring a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Meizu 18 Pro steps up with a 50MP ISOCELL GN1 main sensor, complemented by a 32MP ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a depth sensor. Selfie cameras are equally impressive, with the Meizu 18 offering 20MP resolution and the Pro model featuring a 44MP front-facing camera.
Additional features include stereo speakers enhanced by SmartPA amplifiers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G connectivity, and NFC support. Meizu also announced a commitment to user experience improvements by eliminating pre-installed third-party apps and removing advertising content from its native services starting with this generation.

The Meizu 18 starts at approximately $650 USD for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the Meizu 18 Pro is priced around $740 USD. Both devices will be available in China starting March 8.
