Launching soon, NashStore is set to become Russia's premier domestic app store for Android users. According to Vladimir Zykov, Project Director at the Digital Platforms Agency, the platform will be available from May 9th.
NashStore aims to offer citizens of Russia and Eurasian Economic Union countries uninterrupted access to familiar digital services. Users will be able to download, install, update apps, and manage subscriptions effortlessly, including payments via the national Mir card system.
Currently, over 700 companies are collaborating with NashStore's creators. The Digital Platforms Agency's CEO, Arseny Shcheltsin, emphasized that the team is actively expanding the mobile app developer community to curate a high-quality app catalog.
Importantly, NashStore may become the sole source for downloading Android applications in Russia if global providers like Google withdraw their services.
Previously, Google Play's website ceased operations in the country, highlighting the growing need for a reliable local alternative.
