At a recent tech showcase, LG unveiled an exciting lineup of new smartphones, including four models from the mid-range K series and the innovative Stylus 3. These devices come equipped with upgraded displays, enhanced cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, and higher-capacity removable batteries.
The Stylus 3 stands out as the most powerful among LG’s new mid-tier offerings. Powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and paired with 3 GB of RAM, it features a 5.7-inch HD display, an 8 MP front camera, and a 13 MP rear camera. True to its name, the Stylus 3 includes a fiber-optic stylus with a fine 1.8 mm tip, allowing users to write on the screen just like with a traditional pen.
The LG Stylus 3 also boasts a fingerprint scanner and an enhanced user interface featuring the Pen Pop 2.0 app. This app displays reminders on the screen whenever the stylus is removed from its slot. Additionally, the Screen-off Memo feature enables users to jot down notes directly on the screen even when it’s turned off.
The K Series lineup includes four models: K10, K8, K4, and K3.
The K10 model features a 5.3-inch HD display, a wide-angle 120-degree front camera, and a 13 MP rear camera. Additional highlights include a fingerprint scanner, a metallic U-shaped frame, and curved 2.5D glass. Despite these premium touches, the device sports a lightweight plastic body, emphasizing its mid-range positioning rather than flagship status.
The remaining K series models offer more modest specs. For instance, the K4 comes with a 5-inch In-cell Touch display and dual 5 MP cameras. It features a slim design and a removable 2500 mAh battery.
The compact K3 model is equipped with a 4.5-inch On-cell Touch screen, a 5 MP rear camera, and a 2 MP front camera that supports gesture-based photo capture.
All the newly released smartphones include expandable storage via microSD card slots.
LG has yet to announce the official release dates or pricing for these models.
