Discover Google's Revolutionary Typeface Supporting Over 800 Languages
Explore Google's innovative Noto font family, designed to support more than 800 languages and 110,000 characters, available for free worldwide.
After five years of close collaboration with design experts from Monotype and Adobe, Google proudly introduces Noto — a comprehensive font family that encompasses over 800 languages and 110,000 unique characters.
The name "Noto" stands for "No more tofu," referring to the elimination of those blank white boxes (known as "tofu") that appear when a font lacks certain characters. This term originates from the resemblance of these boxes to tofu, the soy-based food.
Noto ensures seamless and elegant text rendering without any missing symbols, providing a universal and free solution for information exchange.
How to Download the Google Noto Font
The entire font family, including all weights and styles, totals approximately 472 MB. The largest packages include Chinese and Korean characters. Users can download the full set or select specific languages as needed. Visit the Noto font page and search for your desired language to get started.

Noto is distributed under the free and open SIL Open Font License. Google commits to maintaining and updating the font family continuously as Unicode expands. Currently, Noto supports all Unicode characters available.
