Kuo's updated forecast aligns with information from another industry expert and insider, Ross Young, who noted that while Apple is not rushing to enter the foldable gadget market, it is actively developing technology in this area.
Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo indicated that Apple was preparing a compact flip-style smartphone similar to the Galaxy Flip. However, his latest update suggests a stronger likelihood of a hybrid device combining iPhone and iPad features, akin to the Galaxy Fold.
Apple is reportedly developing foldable products across various sizes—small, medium, and large—and is currently testing flexible OLED displays approximately 9 inches in size, Kuo added.
