Users can highlight and save quotes, as well as convert the current document into TXT, PDB, or HTML formats.
Integration with popular dictionaries such as Dict, Lingvo, and Slovoed enhances the reading experience. The font, spacing, and layout—including two-column text display and font smoothing—are highly customizable to suit visual preferences. The search function supports flexible text queries, ignoring spaces and line breaks between words, and includes the use of the "?" wildcard character representing any single character. Searches are case-insensitive.
Designed primarily for mobile devices, AlReader also offers a fully compatible version for Windows 2000, XP, and Vista PCs.
