I have always loved dancing. As a child, I never missed ballroom dance competitions and enjoyed watching them with my grandmother. Unfortunately, I never got to attend those classes due to circumstances beyond my control. Instead, I pursued sports aerobics as a teenager and continued training with the university aerobics team. Though not traditional dance, it kept me connected to movement and rhythm.

After graduation, I sought out any classes with dance elements—step aerobics, Zumba, dance mix—but a busy schedule made consistent attendance difficult. Without a partner, I hesitated to try Latin dances, unaware that solo performances exist in this genre.

One day, I stumbled upon a Latin dance class where the energetic instructor encouraged the group: “Come on, ladies! Work those hips! I’ll teach you, and in spring, we’ll all dance together in the park!” Her enthusiasm was contagious, and I decided to give it a try.

My first attempt at classic Latin dance was challenging. Maintaining straight knees, chest forward, elongated neck, straight back, and a tucked stomach while switching between sharp movements and smooth pauses was tough. The confident attitude required—feeling like the queen while others are commoners—added to the challenge. Nevertheless, I was determined to see it through.

I later changed clubs to follow my dance instructor. There, Latin dance was complemented by jazz-funk, contemporary, and choreography classes like body ballet. I initially feared juggling different styles would confuse me, but instead, it broadened my skills and enhanced my dance abilities.

Gradually, strength training and stretching yoga were added to my routine. When maintaining full body control for precise movements became difficult, my coach introduced me to TRX training.

What began as dance classes blossomed into comprehensive fitness development. My body started to balance harmoniously without strain. Back and wrist pain from long hours at the computer disappeared. Headaches eased, posture improved, and dizziness after fast turns vanished.

But these physical benefits are just part of the story.
