Recently, the public has been captivated by stories of notable figures like Pavel Durov, the IT millionaire who chose to become a sperm donor to leave a lasting legacy. While the exact number of children born from his donations remains speculative, Durov himself mentions around 100 offspring.
Meanwhile, in Saint Petersburg, a similarly controversial situation has unfolded. A local teacher sought to conceive a child using the sperm of a former student. The 45-year-old woman approached a 17-year-old boy, requesting him to become a sperm donor so she could use his genetic material for conception.
She had taught the boy back when he was in the 6th grade at a school in the Vsevolozhsky district. After the family moved to Saint Petersburg, the teacher lost contact with him for a time. However, when the boy reached 9th grade, she reinitiated communication.
According to the student, their interaction began innocuously with a like on one of her math videos during 6th grade. Since then, the teacher started showing him increasing attention.
The teenager recounts that as he grew older, the teacher’s attention intensified, bordering on stalking through social media. Initially, her messages were casual—asking about his wellbeing, wishing him health, sending holiday greetings, and sharing humorous images. By 9th grade, she began hinting at her desire for a child, and by 11th grade, she openly admitted her intentions.
“I am honestly looking for a sperm donor to conceive a healthy child. Given my age, I need a much younger man to reduce the risk of genetic issues,” she wrote candidly to the graduate.
While this might have seemed like a prank, the teacher was genuinely distressed. She had consulted doctors multiple times and had even prepared a personalized conception calendar marking optimal days for conceiving boys and girls.
When asked why she chose him, the teacher explained:
“You are intelligent, handsome, fair, and confident. You’ve grown into a good person thanks to your parents. You have a strong character and a wonderful mother. You’ve found a place in my heart and can help me build a family through a child. I will be a single mother, but that doesn’t scare me. I have been alone for a long time, and you will find a wonderful partner for life,” she expressed.
The student, unsure of how to respond, decided to block her to avoid further contact, as reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
Undeterred, the teacher resorted to messaging him from fake accounts, impersonating female students and even inviting him on dates. When these attempts failed, she reached out to his parents, sending them holiday greetings.
In January 2024, the teacher revisited the topic of sperm donation and even visited the student’s home. She sent messages requesting a conversation and provided donor agreement forms to demonstrate her seriousness. She emphasizes that she never intended any romantic relationship with the boy. Instead, fate placed her in a difficult position: despite efforts to find a partner and start a family, her personal life remained unfulfilled, and her advancing age made pregnancy increasingly uncertain.
Following her visit, the student’s parents contacted the police. Authorities are now investigating the case, considering charges under the statute concerning indecent acts.
