He added that there could be about two weeks before the next one, depending on how this game unfolds. He is pretty hopeful and thinks it is probably better than it was a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Usman Khawaja's participation remains doubtful for the second Test after he hurt his back and did not open in either Perth innings.
Uzzy is not moving too well. His back flared up again in the slips while he was jumping for a catch, so he was unable to open, Cummins said.
