Netflix has officially announced the new cast members for the upcoming season of their acclaimed fantasy series, revealing exciting additions to the Witcher universe.
The Witcher universe is expanding! Netflix has commenced filming the highly anticipated second season of its hit fantasy series, and fans are already buzzing with new casting details.
According to Redanian Intelligence, a leading fan resource dedicated to the Witcher books, games, and show, two new Witchers will join Geralt in the upcoming season, with the actors cast in these roles now revealed.
Paul Bullion, recognized for his performances in "Peaky Blinders" and "The Bastard Executioner," will portray Lambert. Fans familiar with the Witcher games will recall Lambert, who was even immortalized in one of Geralt’s poems. Bullion had been hinting at this role since January by sharing sword training clips on his Twitter account.

Joining Bullion is Yasen Atour, known for "Strike Back" and "Dark Heart," who will take on the role of Coën. Unlike Geralt and Lambert, Coën is a Witcher from the Griffin school, a character originally introduced in the books. He also spends time at Kaer Morhen, the Witchers’ stronghold.
Both actors are expected to appear in at least three episodes, indicating that the Kaer Morhen storyline will receive significant screen time. While the casting for Vesemir and Eskel has yet to be announced, fans anticipate these reveals before the season’s release.
The new season is currently filming in the United Kingdom and is slated for release on Netflix in August 2021.
