Councillor Tony Gurney, cabinet member for the economy, said the development places Ayrshire at the forefront of the AI revolution, creating a local skills pipeline in construction, engineering, digital infrastructure and data centre operations.
He added that the project's wide-ranging supply chain impact will benefit businesses across Ayrshire and beyond.
