Former Politician Confesses to Killing Wife on Social Media: 'I Don’t Care About My Fate, She Got What She Deserved'
A former deputy openly admitted to murdering his wife, showing no remorse and prepared to face legal consequences. The tragic case highlights issues of domestic violence and justice.
The man shows no intention of denying his crime and is ready to accept punishment. He expresses no remorse for his brutal act.
On April 20, 2024, a chilling post appeared on the personal blog of Evgeny Nikolsky, a politician from Tver. The 35-year-old openly confessed to killing his wife, with whom he had been married for 13 years. Less than a year ago, the woman had given birth to their child.
"Yes, I did it. I won’t deny it and will accept the necessary punishment. I hold my head high because I did what was right. When a person to whom you have devoted your soul for years betrays you, it cannot go unpunished. I don’t care what happens to me, but the deceitful creature got what she deserved, and I hope the same fate awaits all like her," wrote the former deputy.
According to the Telegram channel Baza, the body of 36-year-old Ekaterina was found near a school in the village of Yemelyanovo. It was revealed that during a jealous quarrel, the man stabbed his wife. Witnesses say that Ekaterina’s brother was nearby during the incident, but Nikolsky prevented him from providing first aid.

The couple leaves behind an 11-month-old daughter. The politician, prepared to face any punishment, pleaded in his confession to "protect" the child, as she is his only reason to live. Currently, the girl is under the care of Ekaterina’s relatives.
"Happiness overwhelms me; expressing my thoughts coherently is still difficult, but the realization that something incredibly important has happened in life is gradually sinking in," the young father wrote less than a year ago.
An insider told StarHit that shortly before her death, Ekaterina had already suffered physical abuse from her husband: "A week before the murder, Nikolsky brutally beat his wife. Ekaterina’s parents took her to their village in Yemelyanovo. However, Evgeny came to confront them — the woman’s body was later found nearby in a park."

Currently, Nikolsky is in intensive care at the Tver Regional Hospital. He sustained a head injury inflicted by Ekaterina’s brother.
The perpetrator faces up to 15 years in prison under Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder). Police and investigative authorities have yet to comment on the case.
It is worth noting that discussions about domestic violence have intensified following the high-profile case of Saltanat Nukenova, who was killed by her husband — former Kazakh Minister of National Economy Kuanlyk Bishimbaev. He is currently awaiting sentencing, with global observers hoping for a life sentence.
