Feyenoord have launched a £15.6m (€18m) bid to sign Sheffield United centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic.

The 26-year-old defender has featured 114 times for the Blades since his July 2022 move from Malmö, establishing himself as a key figure in their back line.

Last summer, Wolves reportedly showed interest in Ahmedhodzic, but he remained at Bramall Lane, helping United to the Championship play-off final, where they narrowly lost to Sunderland.

Feyenoord, who finished third in last season’s Eredivisie, are on the lookout for a replacement after selling Slovak centre-back David Hancko to Atlético Madrid in July.
