Effortless Cloud Document Saving with Dropbox in Office 2013
Learn how to seamlessly integrate Dropbox with Office 2013 for quick and easy cloud document storage.
Office 2013 natively supports integration with only one cloud service—Microsoft OneDrive. This means saving your documents to OneDrive is just a couple of clicks away. However, if you're accustomed to using Dropbox, saving or opening files directly from Dropbox can be a bit cumbersome, requiring you to manually navigate through folders each time.
Every time you create a new document, you must select "Save As" and locate the appropriate Dropbox folder, which can become tedious over time. Since Microsoft is unlikely to add native support for third-party cloud services, the good news is you can set up this integration yourself.
First, download a compact, user-friendly script (links provided at the end). Your antivirus software might flag it, but rest assured, it is safe to use.

Open the downloaded file and enter the path to your Dropbox folder in the specified field. That's essentially all there is to it.

Next, open Office settings and navigate to Account options > Connected Services > Add a Service > Storage. Here, select the services you want to add—in this case, Dropbox.

Now, Dropbox will appear in the "Open-Save" dialog within Office, allowing you to access your files quickly and conveniently.

If you want to remove Dropbox from the list, simply return to Connected Services and click the Remove button.

To set this up on multiple office computers, repeat this process on each device. It’s a quick procedure, especially if you keep the script on a USB drive. Additionally, a similar script is available to integrate Google Drive with Office.
