Design
At first glance, the Find X2 sports a familiar look: a sleek glass body, rounded corners, an elongated camera module, and a front-facing camera embedded within the screen. However, OPPO’s attention to detail breathes new life into this classic design. Underneath the rear glass lies a textured backing, with the logo and camera lenses perfectly aligned. The multimedia speaker features oval cutouts, and the SIM tray harmoniously complements the USB-C port.
The Find X2 is available in elegant black and a striking ocean blue, with the latter showcased in our review. While visually stunning, the surface quickly attracts fingerprints. The curved edges, though stylish, make the phone slightly slippery due to limited palm contact area. Thankfully, a silicone case is included for added grip and protection.
Though not compact, the narrow frame with rounded corners makes the device feel more manageable. However, one-handed use may be best suited for those with larger hands.
Display
Dominating the front is a 6.7-inch AMOLED display featuring QHD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike some competitors where users must choose between resolution and refresh rate, the Find X2 offers both simultaneously. We will further assess how this impacts battery life in our full review.
This screen is even brighter than recent Samsung models, with customizable color profiles and adjustable white balance. DisplayMate awarded it an A+ rating, a testament to its outstanding quality. Early impressions confirm this, though we reserve final judgment until thorough testing is complete.
Audio
The Find X2 features stereo speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos support, delivering excellent volume. However, at maximum levels, some distortion appears, and overall sound quality is slightly behind that of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
OPPO emphasizes superior audio recording with three microphones designed to focus on sound sources while reducing background noise. We look forward to evaluating this feature during extended testing.
Cameras
The Find X2 is equipped with a versatile triple-camera setup: standard, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses offering 2x optical zoom and up to 5x hybrid zoom. The main sensor is the Sony IMX586 with 48MP resolution, a specification commonly found in mid-range devices a year ago, making its inclusion here somewhat surprising given the phone's premium positioning.

The phone is powered by dual batteries, each with a capacity of 2100mAh, totaling 4200mAh. While this is slightly less than competitors like the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 10, the Find X2 supports 65W fast charging, reaching 90% battery in just 30 minutes.
Preliminary Verdict
Initial impressions suggest the OPPO Find X2 is a high-quality smartphone, though it lacks a distinctive personality. Given its premium price point, this might be a drawback, but our opinion may evolve after comprehensive testing. It's also a pity that OPPO hasn't launched the Find X2 Pro in this market, which features premium touches like an eco-leather back and a periscope zoom camera system.
