Meanwhile, the more affordable iPhone Xr continues to offer 3GB of RAM. Geekbench test data also provides insights into the A12 Bionic chip's capabilities. Contrary to Apple's presentation, the performance improvements over previous models are incremental. The Geekbench score difference between the new and prior generation iPhones is approximately 800 points.
The gap between the premium Xs Max with 4GB RAM and the Xr with 3GB RAM is relatively small. Both smartphones score nearly 4,800 points in single-core tests, while in multi-core benchmarks, the Xs Max leads by just about 1,000 points.
Apple's iPhone Xs and Xs Max became available for purchase in Russia starting September 28, with the iPhone Xr pre-orders beginning in October.
