- It’s definitely not Netscher; it’s indeed Lievens.
Expert analysis revealed that one curator was completely correct, another entirely wrong, and the third only half right. So, who is the genuine artist behind this portrait?
Since the first curator's statements cannot both be false (which would imply the painting was by both Lievens and Vermeer simultaneously), this curator must be either fully truthful or partially correct.
The second and third curators hold opposing views. Given the conditions, one must be fully accurate while the other is completely mistaken. This means the first curator was only half correct.
